Ben is a British Psychological Society (BPS) chartered psychologist and published researcher, who has worked for Chimp Management for over 5 years. Within this time he has predominantly worked within the world of elite sport supporting Olympic and professional athletes, coaches and staff to better understand the way in which their mind works, and develop tools to optimise how they use their mind. In doing so, Ben has gathered experience in consulting across Europe, America and Asia. 

Of note is work carried out within golf, where Ben has worked on the PGA and European tours supporting various golfers, including a former world number 1. Ben has also spent time working with premier league football teams and individual players, as well as elite international equestrian organisations. Ben has also consulted regularly alongside Prof Steve Peters in supporting GB Taekwondo in their preparation for the 2021 Olympic/Paralympic Games in Tokyo. 

Ben has also worked within the corporate sector, most notably providing psychological support and training to a multinational investment bank based in America. Within the education sector, Ben has worked with students and teachers nationwide and has also worked with emergency service staff (e.g. NHS, police and fire services) to help them optimally perform in difficult and pressurised environments. 

 

Overall, whether in the areas of sport, education, business, emergency services or individual self-development, Ben specialises in working with individuals and teams, to establish their own unique targets and goals, and collaborate in the understanding and management of their own unique mind in order to increase their chances of success and happiness.

Thanks to Ben Davies for delivering a really interesting and stimulating day. The fact that we had to look at ourselves first before considering the implications of the chimp model for use with primary age children was just what we were looking for. Regular opportunities to reflect on different aspects of the model, tied in with Ben’s interesting and friendly
way of presenting made it an enjoyable learning day.
The feedback has been really positive and enthusiastic from the delegates. Our next step for the schools is to plan the way ahead in implementing some of the ideas and strategies we learned yesterday for ourselves, other therefore in turn have a positive impact on our young learners.
I would fully recommend the day for educators, not only for the benefits of the children but also personal development and well being.
